Our Guiding Beliefs

We believe that there are as many pathways to recovery as there are people seeking it and welcome all people seeking health and wellness to join us for support. We believe each person is worthy of dignity, love, and respect, regardless of where they are in their journey.

Our Guiding Principals

  • We value fair and ethical treatment for everyone and believe that it is the starting place for personal growth.

  • We value compassion and believe that everyone deserves empathy.

  • We value listening and believe that true advocacy can only be done when participant voices are heard.

  • We value balance in life and believe that humor and fun makes our serious work sustainable.

Love and Respect Community for Recovery and Wellness is the first peer-run & managed recovery community center in Hendersonville, NC, serving those in recovery from substance use and mental health challenges. We help people navigate mental health and substance use recovery systems, social systems and community reentry from incarceration.

We assist people in finding a pathway to achieve an improved quality of life, as they define it. The majority of our staff are persons certified by the state of North Carolina to utilize experience with mental health and substance use disorders, houselessness, or incarceration to help others with their life journey.

Creating a Healthier System of Care for All

We assist any person seeking recovery through true, authentic Peer Support. We fill gaps in our community's existing systems of support to ensure no one gets left behind, ignored, or underserved.
