Supplying Necessary Items with Love and Respect
When we opened the doors of Love and Respect, we quickly recognized that it can be difficult for individuals to focus on their wellness and recovery when their most basic needs are unmet. Concerns about having clean clothing, knowing where their next meal will come from, or finding a safe place to sleep can create significant barriers to healing. Recognizing these challenges, we established our Supply Closet to provide individuals with essential items to meet their immediate needs and help create a safe, supportive environment conducive to recovery.
The contents of our Supply Closet vary based on the needs of the individuals we serve and the changing seasons. Some of the essential items we provide include:
Clothing and socks
Sleeping bags
Hygiene kits
Narcan (naloxone)
Linens and blankets
Seasonal supplies, including hand warmers in the winter and portable fans in the summer
First aid kits and supplies
Flashlights
By providing these essential resources, Love and Respect strives to reduce immediate stressors, promote dignity and stability, and empower individuals to focus on what matters most: their health, wellness, and recovery.
